Description
Curious about woodworking but not sure where to start? This two-hour, hands-on class is designed specifically for women who want to learn the basics in a relaxed, supportive environment. No experience is required.
You’ll be guided step-by-step through essential woodworking skills by the principal of the Construction Career Center, Steve Lewis. You'll learn tool skills, measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing, all while creating a beautiful, functional planter you’ll take home the same day. Your instructor will walk you through tool safety and techniques, answer questions, and make sure you feel comfortable every step of the way.
Whether you’re looking to try something new, gain practical skills, or just enjoy a creative evening with other women, this class is about learning, building, and having fun without pressure or intimidation.
After the hands-on session, we'll admire our work over a glass of wine and apps!
For safety reasons, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and shirts with sleeves are required. Long hair must be pulled back. No dangling jewelry. Safety goggles, gloves, tools and materials will be provided.
